What you should pack for your kids
for lunch.
Now here is the problem the typical
meal we have in Nigeria revolves round carbon- hydrate, and so we find the
average Nigerian family eating rice, yam, Garri, fufu, and other carbohydrate
based meal. Never will you see 70percent of Nigerian family give their kids
unripe plantain and vegetable, instead they will do fried plantain and feed
that child, so you see we have a foundation problem. So what’s ideal for children
lunch box. I am going to recommend what has worked for my kids.
Soya drink, should be replaced with
bobo, caprisone, ribena, chivita(I so much dislike this Indian company they are
in the business of reaping us off and selling sugar to us most especially our
kids)Chocó drinks, yoghurts, and every and any other sugary drinks in the
market. Don’t get me wrong our kids requires sugar to be active it should be
part of their growing up but there are so many sugary products out there in the
market that is not beneficial.
Instead of cake, meat pie, doughnut, replace
with non sugar based biscuits or thin sliced bread spread with a little mayo
and sardine for lunch, or you can take time out and make your own dougnut that is not filled with heavy sugar.if parents are up to it, i rather you prepare your won pastries there by you can control the level of sugar in it. Now folks, Instead of coca-cola, sprite, fanta maltina sip, do a
fruit twist. What I recommend for parents is very simple. Mothers take a trip
to the fruit market, purchase lots of oranges, pine apples, etc and extract the
juice and put in your Child's water can holder, and pack non sugared biscuits.
How about homemade pure natural apple
juice, pure natural organic zobo drink, that has little sugar. for taste some parents
use fruits to sweeten their zobo drink. There are a lot of organic drinks we can
prepare for our kids and if we should do this we help in reducing their sugar
intake.We must understand that our kids needs to be free from industrial sugar. The pop soda companies, dont care for us or for our kids, all they try to do is to out smart each other by creating various product that has no nutritional value, its all about the money.
Parents and kids please say no to
Coca-cola, Pepsi, sprite, Maltina, Bobo, Chivita, Malta Guinness and every
other sugary based products. May we raise health kids and not sick kids? Tomorrow
we are going to talk about why coca-cola is not your friend. Our kick sugar life
style kicks of tomorrow on this blog and we are going in hard on pop sodas and sugar
based drinks. Remember say no to coca-cola be it zero coke with Aspartame, Pepsi
long throat, etc we don’t want to know we are going back to nature.
