Alright folks, a health nutritionist
brought this to my attention; she said there has been series of infections on
patients brought to the health centers.According to her, infection is on the
rise once again in our urban area and cities. What could be the cause of these infections?
Very simple, the cause has been attributed to fruit vendors.Yes fruit vendors.
Health workers
have carried out a survey an unfortunately some of these food and fruit vendors, do not adopt best hygiene practice. Most especially the fruit vendors that hawk
fruits in wheel barrows, and fruit carts. These vendors are walking about with
infections unknowingly to them. Now some of them have open sores, wounds, and
injuries that have not healed properly especially the northern peasant fruit
sellers. These guys walk about with infections and they distribute it to
various buyers.
To stem this infection, please if you are buying fruits from
them desist from buying peeled and sliced fruits from these hawkers especially
watermelon, pineapple, paw-paw and other fruits that they peel and wrap in
plastics and nylon. Now another issue to worry about is that of HIV. This is
not good news at all. HIV once again is on the increase within two days I have
attended to two new cases of HIV infection and sadly they are young teenage
girls. What is going on is it that we are getting careless with our health and sex
life .I won’t talk about HIV for I have spent 14years talking about it. We all
know what to do to keep or selves safe.
